!st call from a person in Chicago who asked general questions. Then I was directed to my local physical offices. Met with an HR representative who had been with the company for 3 months and no prior HR experience. During the 30 minute interview, she stated three times that I was a "unicorn" (meaning that I was the only applicant who had the mythical experience the company was looking for). We discussed the rate of pay and the possible hours of the job (she wasn't sure). She told me that I would hear from someone by the end of the week (this was on a Wednesday). Following Monday I called her and left a VM because no one called me. I waited until that next Friday AND left a VM for the person who was supposed to call me. I blocked my number and called the initial interviewer because she didn't answer my unblocked calls. I tricked her and she answered the phone. She told me that she was busy "onboarding" someone and she would send an email to the last person I needed to speak to (if she was really busy, why did she answer the phone...oh, she lied and was caught off-guard, as I hoped). That next day, Saturday, while no one was working, I got a generic "Dear John" email telling me I was not a candidate. So instead of emailing the last guy, she set the email up to be delivered while she was not available to avoid the coming phone call. This all occurred right before Christmas. I called her the day after Christmas, with a blocked number again, and she said they took an "internal candidate". Which is BS because company's check internally before they spend money on going externally. She doesn't know that because she was new. As of right now, that position is still on their own company website, Indeed and Glassdoor. So, if you are okay being led on and fed lies. Apply here.
