I love what Stitch Fix is doing and think they have a great concept. I thought it would be interesting to learn more about the company and stylist role and applied for the Stylist position. I applied for the position online, filled out a sample "Fix" and was asked to come in and interview the following week. I was really excited about the opportunity and thought it would be fun to do on the side as I already work full time.
The person that interviewed me was not the stylist recruiter I had been working with or was told to ask for when I arrived onsite. The person who did interview me never introduced herself or explained why the recruiter wasn't onsite. Upon entering the interview room I was asked to sit on a small kid/sized plastic stool in the corner about 1 foot from the woman conducting the interview. It was cramped, and due to the size of the stool I was sitting much lower than the interviewer (awkward). I also felt like I was the 100th person she had interviewed that day.
From there we had a casual conversation about my hours and current work situation and then I was asked to perform a style profile (see below). I asked a few questions, was given an update on next steps and that was that.
