I had a truly bizarre interview process at Stitch Fix. I had two phone screeners and then two in person interviews. The two people I spoke to on the phone had both quit by the time I got to the first in person interview. The first in person interview went really well, I got great feedback from everyone, but since my HR contact had quit I didn't have anyone to follow up with. I finally added someone else from HR on LinkedIn and messaged them. Once that was sent they called me back in for a second round, claiming everyone there loved me. (Two of those people have since also left the company.)
This is where things get really weird. I sat down with a high level executive who, after 5 mins, told me that she hadn't hired the person who would be my boss so she didnt think I was a fit because she didnt know how to hire for this role yet. That said she still made me sit through TWO MORE HOURS OF INTERVIEWS after saying "Yeah we're not going to hire you." on a Friday at 2pm. I took a PTO day for this interview and they made me come in and sit through it all the while knowing they were never giving me the job.
It was probably the worst interview I've ever had.
