Entretien
Long, drawn out and a completely negative candidate experience. Both the HR and Hiring Manager were incompetent, creating a terrible recruitment experience that has turned me off as both an potential employee and actual customer. The experience was so negative and memorable that it's prompted me to share this feedback. I hope HR can improve their processes because I would never wish this experience on a candidate. The early stages started off promising but then Spotify completely disappeared, with zero updates or explanations, despite follwing up to no avail. Full Timeline: Day 1 - Application submitted Day 7 - Invited to first interview Day 12 - First interview with HR Day 18 - Invited to second round interview with hiring manager Day 28 - Second interview with hiring manager Day 45 - Emailed HR an enquiry, saying that I haven't heard anything the last 3 weeks, requesting for updates. HR replies same day saying they will respond by the end of the week (they did not). Day 76 - Emailed HR again now flagging it's been 7 weeks since the second interview with still no communication. They reply same day again saying they will reply the next day (they did not). Day 80 - Rejection email saying that the role has now been closed. Day 98 - Role gets freshly reposted on Spotify website again.

Question 1
Give me an example of when you have to give criticism to someone else
What to expect when interviewing at Spotify for this role?
4 interviews and a two-part case study:
The interview process took 2 months in my case.
The case studies took 4-6 week preparation and research (daily 1-2 hours) and was unpaid.
In the final interview stage, i did not receive any feedback during or after my presentation and only got one question asked when presenting for 45 minutes.
When requesting for some feedback to use this as a learning for next time. I got a vivid response from the hiring manager without any proper examples of what led to the decision.
After a couple of months of being devastated, and mounting imposter syndrome, I noticed that he planned to hire somebody from his home country all along and I was just used as a benchmark - without any serious consideration. What would you do if you were me?
Takeaway: If they asked you to do a case study my advice ask them if it’s gonna be paid or not.
