J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Spotify (New York, NY) en juill. 2022
Entretien
I applied to this company 2 months ago and was slowly pushed along the process. Literally zero to no feedback from the Recruiter. Process seemed very disorganized and had me on a cliffhanger for weeks on end with no clear direction on next steps. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited to hear back, only to get an automated message that I was not selected for the role. Not even the common courtesy to provide a personal email or any feedback on why I wasn't selected. It is really telling what kind of company Spotify is. DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND GO APPLY SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Question 1
Tell me the extent of your experience in your current role.
HR screening to begin with and then several interviews with various members of the team you will be joining, spaced out over the course of a month or so. No case studies or such.

"Who are you gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS!"
This was the lyric that was running through my head as I was ghosted by the HR recruiter. I had read previously that Spotify tends to do this to their candidates, so I shouldn't have expected more.
I had applied online directly from their website and was contacted by a recruiter a week later. We scheduled a 30-min video interview where he asked a lot of behavioral questions. At the end of the interview, he stated that he would be following up with me the following week (middle of week). However, three days before I was supposed to hear back, he sent an email stating that I did not have the required years of experience (they wanted 5 years of experience min while I had 3.5 years) to be qualified for the position, and offered a different role instead. In his email, he offered to hop on a call to chat about the new role. I emailed him back and didn't hear anything from him. I sent a follow up email and he did not reply (I've been GHOSTED).
From my experience, it seems like Spotify is very stringent on the role qualifications and does not take into other factors that may make up for less years of work experience (Master's degree, additional qualifications and certifications, etc). I did wish they would send out rejection emails (this is just a courtesy to the interviewee).
