They called me, asked a little about me. Then I actually went to the store without informing them and asked for my status. They interviewed me on the spot. They tried to act tough, telling me that this job is hard and I'm going to be constantly pushed for performance.

I was interviewed 3 times in 1 day. First by the head of HR, then the Floor Manager, then the Store Manager. I was told that I would never get benefits, never be full-time, but that i could "creatively" run the floor,

I was contacted very soon after I submitted my resume - approx 2 days. I was called in for an interview within the week, and met with a department manager and a senior manager. Both were very pleasant and not intimidating. Made me feel like a part of the team even before I was hired!
