J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Scotiabank (Toronto, ON) en avr. 2014

      Entretien

One phone interview - but in person for others. Asked very basic behavioural questions and the interview was no longer than 40 minutes. Very standard interview in that they focused a lot on previous experiences and your accomplishments in those roles.

HR interview then with manager. Straightforward process with behavioral questions. Mostly behavioral questions (I.e tell me about your self, describe a situation where you demonstrated …). This was an interview for a Coop position so not a lot of questions about past experience

J'ai postulé via un établissement d'enseignement supérieur ou universitaire. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Scotiabank (Toronto, ON) en févr. 2018

      Entretien

The individual I organized with was terribly disorganized throughout the entire process and despite not receiving an offer, I was left with little inspiration and confidence about Scotia. I was contacted by the hiring manager directly and despite applying for one position, was told that I would only be considered for another. The timing of the interview was also very unaccommodating. I was contacted on a Tuesday in the afternoon and was asked when I was free to come in. Unfortunately I was in the midst of writing exams, so I could only support a very narrow range of times to come in and interview. I was very clear in my intentions to be as flexible with their time as possible, and I certainly of the opinion that it is my responsibility to work with their schedule. I received a delayed response with a scheduled time outside of when I said that I would be available. I figured it was best to go along with it, and missed a class reluctantly. When I arrived to the interview, I was told "to wait by the elevators", since there was no reception on the interviewing floor. This I would have been okay with however, the individual I was interviewing with was late. Not only was he late, but he was late with another interview candidate, who eventually came up together in an elevator. I was quickly (and awkwardly) introduced to the other candidate before the interview rushed off to find me a room. The interview was fine by all means. Very little technical emphasis, and more behavioural. The interviewer was very nice but the entire process was chaotic. I was asked at the end of the interview how I would rate my excitement. I took the opportunity to thank the individual for having me come in. A week or so later I attempt to follow-up with the individual and I receive no response. It is clear that they were not impressed with me as a candidate and I can accept that and move on. What I find to be strange though is how the entire process feels unstructured and unprofessional. This is by no means characteristic of Scotia, and take this with a grain of salt. I however, am left with little to be inspired by. Good luck.

Phone interview, relatively easy. Interview was with manager you'd be working with. Questions were mostly behavioral, nothing super surprising. Whole process from interview to offer took maybe a week.
