1st Stage: Informal process. Covered the bases of the role and expectations. Personality check if I would be a good fit for the company and role.
2nd Stage: Competency Based: Covered previous experience, interlinked these with project management practices. Lots of questions around overcoming challenges, working with high profile stakeholders, the demands of the role.
Overall, a very good experience, although no offer was provided.

Great communication from the recruitment team.
I was given a screening phone call initially followed by an in person interview with a task.
It went well and communication throughout was to the point, with efficient notice and explanation of expectations.

The interview process focused heavily on core industry awareness and technical alignment with SSEN Transmission’s net-zero infrastructure goals. It involved deep behavioral and competency-based questions evaluated through the STAR method, specifically testing structural problem-solving, project scheduling, risk escalation, quality control, and cross-functional team leadership.

Initial interview then longer one with presentation. Process worked well for bookings etc and staff I met were very friendly and professional. It was a good experience overall with a bit of a delay hearing result.
