I was informed that my application was passed on to the hiring manager, only to never hear back again - not even a rejection, despite following up with HR consultant multiple times. Companies ghosting applicants is poor show in any case, but for a company who asks for a personal statement with every application, it's even worse to not even send an automated rejection email. Do better.
