Interview Details – I applied online many times to many Ross stores in my area and never got a call until finally I realized maybe it's because I didn't do that good on the assessment the first time I applied so I made another account and retook the assessment and tried my best and ended up getting a call later that day (finally!) from one of the Ross's I applied to. We scheduled an appointment for a few days later. Went in, the man who interviewed me was super chill and really easy going! Started off with "tell me a little about yourself" and other questions like "tell me about a problem you had and how you dealt with it" "what would you do if you saw another associate stealing" "how would I react if they told me I would be cleaning and organizing for the whole day" "how would I be in a busy and fast paced environment" that was pretty much it, super quick and easy I guess since it was only the first interview. He said he likes to be straight forward with interviews and let me know I could get a call later that day for the 2nd interview which they were having 2 days later (i had the interview on a Monday and he said they'd be doing 2nd interviews on Wednesday) which I really appreciated because I hate when they don't say when to expect a call and have you waiting and hoping but I didn't get a call. Wednesday afternoon I got a call from him saying he was going to call me Monday but was just so busy and let me know he was going to start with my background check. I didn't know if that meant I was hired or not though. Few days later I got an email from the background check company with their number , called and gave my SS and bday and never got a call back. I've never been to jail or anything so I know my background check didn't affect anything. I was surprised and disappointed I didn't get a call back because I honestly did think the interview went really good! But luckily I got a call Wednesday morning from another place I went in an interview at saying I got the job! But having 2 jobs would have been nice.

The interview process at Ross Dress for Less consisted of meeting with a store manager to discuss my customer service experience, cash handling skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. I was asked situational questions about handling customers, teamwork, and resolving problems. The process was straightforward and focused on my availability, work ethic, and ability to support store operations

Fast and easy! They mainly asked about my previous work experiences and my availability. They also asked what great customer service is like to you and why I would be a good fit to the company.

I was interviewed over the phone and than asked to come in person. So I could meet the team and talk to them. It wasn't too hard but it was kind of a waste as I didn't get a call back.
