Set a pre interview task involving creation of 2 static banner ads plus design and build a landing page for a property development. To do this properly took 10 hours and I was given 48 hours to do it in. I was criticised for taking too long. In my opinion 10 hours for a landing page from scratch including research, gathering resources, designing it and then building it as a responsive page with 3 breakpoints was reasonable (including 2 banner ads). Was informed should be done in half or less. Avoid free work, people. I'm an idiot. Be less like me.
