      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 6 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Procter & Gamble en sept. 2010

      Entretien

Applied for position on website in September 2010. The online application was thorough, requesting for leadership positions I have held as a leader, a basic questionnaire on situation and response (what would you do if team member holds conflicting opinions from your own? Multiple choice answers), and an untimed logic test comprising of questions similar to those found in IQ tests.  P&G then called me in December and informed me to head down to their office for a 65 mins reasoning test comprising of math, verbal, and logic questions. Math questions were pretty basic. Verbal section consists of several short passages with questions for each passage. The logic test was similar to logic test taken during application (I found every IQ test I could fromthe Internet and did them to prepare for this section - did wonders for me. Finished the logic section in under 10 mins, leaving me with plenty of time to check the other sections). Was also required to submit a short supplementary form which consisted of several questions like "tell me about a time when you had to make us of your expertise to accomplish something". Doing this well helps tremendously for the actual interview process.  Was called down for my first in mid Jan where an accounts manager interviewed me. Was called down for a second round interview in late jan and third round two weeks later. Throughout all the interviews, they asked questions which need to be answered in the Context, action, result format. This is absolutely crucial. To give a context which grabs the interviewer's attention, state a SPECIFIC action you took (what exactly did you say or do?), then what was the result of your action. I have been called down for a field trip with a key accounts manager on the 25th Feb 2011 which is the final round of their assessment before making a hiring decision.  To adequately prepare, they will always ask basic questions at the start of the interview like "tell me more about yourself", "why do you want to join P&G?", and "run me through your work experiences". These are always questions where you can have prepared answers which can spark their interest. Have you done something that might perk the interviewer's interest? Be sure to include it in your introduction. Otherwise, there are many questions you can find throughout this glassdoor interview section. Prepare for them! Prepare for generic questions that can apply to other more speciic ones like "tell me about a time when you encountered tremendous difficulty in getting something done" could apply for "tell me about a time when you failed and what you learned from it". Once you have a reserve of such questions, you'll have something to fall back on for questions you may not have really thought through.  At every interview, the experience was pleasant and provided me with perspectives or advice which I've not seen anywhere else. The interviewer's are all individuals of significant accomplishments and have interesting stories of their own. Lastly, all of them have a certain demeanor about them- a drive and passion for what they do even 15 yrs into their jobs. This is something I've not seen in most other organizations that I interviewed at.
