J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez Pinterest (San Francisco, CA) en févr. 2021
Entretien
The hiring manager reached out to me to interview, she jumped me straight ahead to the interviews and gave me documents, etc to prepare. 2 weeks later she came back and said they're not moving me forward after I spent all that time preparing for the interview.

I had a recruiter screen followed by hiring manager screen. It was fairly straightforward and efficient. The people I interacted with were nice enough. Did not get the role but it has been open for months. Flexible work location.

The interview process is long, tedious, unprofessional and unnecessary.
First you get a 30min call with the recruiter who literally doesn't turn her camera on. It takes weeks to book this call. You get told a bunch of smoke in mirrors of the salary, working conditions, how great it is to work there, etc.
After several weeks, you finally get the next round booked with another Product Manager. This is 45 mins. The interview is them making you walk through an example as they keep adding questions and complexity. Not a way to learn about the candidate. Constantly you will here "let's build on that, tell me more about what you would have done if..." Just hypothetical questions that don't add up and you can tell they are trying to confuse/trip you up. Watch out.
After yet ANOTHER 1.5 weeks, there is a 30 min interview with a Director. This interview was a joke. Similar to the 1st interview, they tell you "you're going to drive this discussion, and I will interrupt you if you're going off track" By the time intro's and your questions at the end, the total time is about 15-20 mins. The Director was curt, unfriendly, and multi-tasking throughout the entire time. After spending days preparing yourself: highlighting your skills, researching the company, using the platform, making notes for yourself, and arming yourself - you get ZERO chance to showcase that. More attempts to confuse you, set you up to fumble, and they ask no questions to learn about you. I was interrupted mid-sentence and told "stick to the example" Not free flowing or natural at all.
Not even 12 hours after, you get a rejection from the original recruiter.
I am convinced most (if not all) postings are literally fake positions.
Super unprofessional, unfair, and lengthy process without any respect for the candidate. Over 6 weeks was wasted in this process and the interviewers are unprofessional and do not know how to interview candidates.
Complete waste of time and energy. Don't bother.

Disarray, lots of scheduling issues last minute changes and rescheduling. Hopefully this was just one time thing. People were very nice all around, seem to enjoy remote work. Not sure how many interviews they are required to do though.
