The interviews themselves were pretty good and had interesting problems, but the internal bureaucracy at Palantir is incredibly frustrating to deal with as an applicant and left me feeling demoralized. My entire process took over 3 months (4 separate rounds) for an internship, which in of itself seems excessive. I frequently had to wait over two weeks for decisions between rounds despite being given much shorter deadlines, and it was often hard to understand what was happening internally with my application. I ultimately reached the final round and received positive feedback in the interview, though I was kept in the dark for two weeks before ultimately receiving a rejection with no feedback. My peers had comparable experiences and waits after the final round, suggesting that Palantir's recruiting process is designed around prolonging applications rather than offering quick and helpful feedback. I encourage Palantir to streamline their recruiting process as other firms take a fraction of the time despite being similarly competitive and offering comparable salaries. While the interviews themselves were good, timelines are what make or break a recruiting process for many applicants.

The recruiter reached out on LinkedIn for a phone screen. After passing that they scheduled a technical interview with a hiring manager which included Leetcode medium level questions. After solving the question, they asked a lot of questions on optimizing the code.
