J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Mollie en mars 2022
Entretien
Great folks, great interview experience.
I didn't get an offer but it made me super happy to see that they have great folks over there with a well-prepared interview process.
It took around 3 weeks for me to finish all the interview steps.
1. TA get to know
2. Leadership Interview
3. System Design
4. Mollie Values
5. Code review.
Just right after agreeing on starting the interview process I have been very well informed and they also supported me with their good prep resources.
As the people were very nice during all the steps, TA was always available for supporting me during the process.
I got very nice feedback at the end of the interview and also they left the door open for reevaluating my application.
It seems like a great place to work with experienced people, I'm looking forward to getting prepared for my failed step and be part of Mollie in the future.

Question 1
Every single interview step is self-explanatory.
Some questions are based on prior experience, and some of them are a case where they would like to see how would you behave in them.

I went through the following steps:
- Recruiter call – a regular sanity check.
- Leadership round – questions about management and leadership, with examples.
- System design round – designing a payment system.
- Mollie principles round – very similar to the leadership round.
I really appreciated that the recruiter was always supportive and answered all my questions, which made the process very pleasant. The most difficult part for me was the system design round, as I had never done this type of interview before.
After those rounds, I was supposed to have the final interview with the hiring manager and (potentially) my future manager. Unfortunately, this didn’t happen because the feedback from the system design round wasn’t great.

It was a nice experience for me. The recruiter was fantastic and was in constant touch through the process. She even guided me about how to be prepared for the rounds.
I was failed because of Coding Review round. I have an experience of 17 years and have been a manager for 6 years, so I was a bit distant from coding. I still do PR reviews and fix P3 bugs to stay in touch but that is not my strongest suite that I bring to the table. So, it was a bit weird for me to get evaluated in an interview environment. But I guess the requirement was like that, which makes it fair.

Question 1
Recruiter
HM Round - mostly behavioural
Code Review round- they showed a piece of code written by a junior, wanted me to show issues in it. The expectation was not very clear on this round.
Mollie Values- Talked to Product Manager, very enjoyable discussion
Recruiter was nice enough to schedule a call to give me a brief about what went well and what I lacked which was pretty cool. And I totally appreciate that.
Information about Mollie was given by the human resources manager. Details about the position were also given. Company culture was mentioned. I also talked about what I have done so far and what I can contribute to Mollie.
