Michelin Interview Experience for the profile of Junior Data Scientist Michelin visited our campus in the month of September 2019 for various profiles. Criteria: 7 CGPA and above with no live backlogs. Pay Structure: For B.Tech 8 lakh CTC + 4-5 lakh Michelin benefits(12-13 lakh package). For M.Tech 10 lakh CTC + 4-5 lakh Michelin benefits(14-15 lakh package). I am writing this experience of mine for the profile of junior data scientist. The entire process was carried out for two days which consisted of online test and psychometric test on first day and interviews on the second day. #Day 1: On the first day a team of 5 came to our campus to carry out the process which included HR,a foreigner,and three others.Initially they gave a powerpoint presentation for almost one and half hour after which you will fall in love with the company.After presentation we were asked to appear for the online test as follows Round 1: It consisted of 3 sections General aptitude test :40 questions to be solved in 40 minutes.Questions were from[A]Quantitative Aptitude(average,age,percentage,profit loss,ratio,time and work,time and distance,compound interest etc)[B]Reasoning(series completion,blood relation,direction sense,finding next figure in sequence etc..)[C] Data Interpretation(pie chart,bar graph)[D] Verbal(paragraph,rearrange sentences,fill in the blanks etc) Technical aptitude test :45 questions to be solved in 45 minutes.Questions were from 1.Java 2.Angular JS 3.C, C++ 4.Big Data Concepts 5.Android, IOS 6.Bootstrap 7.Node JS 8.J Query 9.Data Structures 10.Python 11.R Simulator 12.SQL & Database – Joins, Relations & Keys Coding test :One puzzle based code to be implemented only in python language in 25 minutes Those who cleared the first round were asked to sit for second round Round 2: Psychometric test :It consisted of 86 questions to be attempted in 25 minutes.Sample question I don’t hesitate when making decisions. 1 – Strongly Disagree 2 3 4 – Neutral 5 6 7 – Strongly Agree Those who cleared this round were asked to come for face to face interviews on next day with 3 passport size photographs and 3 copies of resume. #Day2: Initially they collected our resumes and according to resume they asked us to give interviews in different panels.I was asked to give my interview for Data Science panel. Their main focus was on the projects listed in the resume and HR questions related to personality.HR questions were given more importance as they preferred good people instead of skilled people.Their thinking was that skills you have today may not be required tomorrow so they were kin to hire good people and trusted their training process to train them.Answers of HR questions were cross checked with the answers of psychometric test so honest answers are expected.I had one project related to machine learning,other related to IoT and one related to deep learning. Round 3: Face to face interview : Tell me about yourself.Your M.Tech specialization is Information Security then why data science?Explain the project related to deep learning in detail and draw its architecture.I had a research paper based on the deep learning project which was provisionally accepted by IEEE and it helped me a lot throughout the process.Explain the project related to machine learning.Number of lines of code in the project?Which python libraries did you use in your project and why?Which algorithms did you use and why?How will you rate yourself in python out of 10?Explain the project related to IoT in detail.Which language did you use for IoT project and why?What was your part in graduation project?How did you distribute the work during graduation project?Given two tables perform left outer join.After doing this I was asked what if we want everything from both tables?Are you interested in data science?Tell some instances where you showed your leadership skills. What extra curricular activities have you done?Why Michelin?(most important question throughout the interview process)Any questions for the interviewer? After this round everyone was asked to attend their choice of panel for different profiles if interested.
