J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 jour. J'ai passé un entretien chez Macy's (Los Angeles, CA) en mars 2011
Entretien
I came in 15 minutes early to my interview but did not get interviewed until roughly half an hour later than my scheduled time. I had a 1:1 interview in the break room which was rather stress free. I was asked if I had prior experience in retail and then the interviewer looked over my application. Because I thought I would be volunteering on Saturday nights I left those days as "unavailable." The interviewer told me that if I am actually available during that time (which I technically can be since I would like a job more,) then I should resubmit the application online, stating that I am free. Then I should be interviewed once again. The interview ended right then and there. I was alright with that as I was told that I would be able to schedule another interview after fixing my application. I adjusted my application online, only to get an e-mail back saying that my schedule is not compatible with what they're looking for at the moment. I find that to be absolutely ridiculous as I set EVERY day as open at all times. There was no time that I was unavailable to work and yet their excuse is that my schedule is not compatible. Not only did the interviewer lie, Macy's failed to come up with a believable excuse.
Was interviewed for a seasonal position. Was told they have no seasonal positions, once they found out I was a college student. Made no sense to me quickly ended the interview.

The interview process was straightforward and fairly quick. It started with a phone interview from a recruiter or hiring representative who asked general questions about my background, availability, and interest in the role. The tone was professional but conversational, and the interviewer focused on making sure I could handle a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
I had one interview with the store manager and it lasted for about 45 minutes. The interview was all standard behavioral questions. I was offered the job on the spot.
