I applied via a computer in the store that connected to the website. Interview was scheduled with a manager in the back offices of the store. The manager was friendly and personable. Questions were basically generic, read off a sheet, but the interview itself was conducted in a conversational style. Started maybe 5-10 minutes after scheduled. Overall experience was positive.

I worked at Macy's in the late 2010s. The cosmetics manager asked me several questions. A few questions were difficult, like asking about what I would do if I saw a coworker stealing, but most were straightforward. She was also very respectful and supportive since I was unsure how to answer a few of the questions. They know that you need time to learn. Overall, it was a great experience for a beginner applicant.
