Management, meetings, lack of time to do anything other than what your manager/ director wants you to do. They have no idea what really goes on but think they do. They do not tell you about an assessment you need to take in order to move up in your career. They do not prepare you either. You're supposed to read their minds on what they think of your progress is for the assessment. Once it comes around they tell you that day that you are not ready for it. Being a DMA you are at the very bottom and have to fight to be in another role. I have goals in my life i wasn't going to let my manager and director dictate my life. Meanwhile the two of them have no actual experience in the industry only with macy's. No fashion schooling either. Just a random degree. Theres no exit interview either. Just a sad measly card. After almost 2 years you're just a body at Macy's nothing more. My manager was a mouth piece and my director thought she knew everything but knew nothing. They want to hold you back because you're a threat to them. It is not run right and it is not fair. Best decision i made leaving that place. It is not the company itself it is the people who run it.

Overall great experience with the phone interviewer and in person interviewer. They helped clarify the next steps and were very communicative on what I can expect from the position and growth
