I applied online, the next day they send you an email to set up an interview if they have any open dates. I had worked there before as a holiday hire and knew where to go and what to wear, just basic dark clothing. I had the interview and one of the sales floor manager interviewed me, then Macy's basic interview questions on how would go about offering Macy's accounts and other general costumer service questions. She had a lot of questions about my personality and what I was doing in school and why I wanted the job. She mentioned that she had other interviews after me and didn't offer me the job but said that she will do a follow up with my previous manger and get her feedback, bench the best candidates for the job and will contact me as soon as they figure who is the best fit.

Why is opening a new Macys account to a costumer a positive thing for them?
Was interviewed for a seasonal position. Was told they have no seasonal positions, once they found out I was a college student. Made no sense to me quickly ended the interview.

The interview process was straightforward and fairly quick. It started with a phone interview from a recruiter or hiring representative who asked general questions about my background, availability, and interest in the role. The tone was professional but conversational, and the interviewer focused on making sure I could handle a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
I had one interview with the store manager and it lasted for about 45 minutes. The interview was all standard behavioral questions. I was offered the job on the spot.
