J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. J'ai passé un entretien chez Lyft

Not gonna lie, recruiters at Lyft were very unreliable. The whole process took about 1 month just to get to the first interview. There were 3 times the recruiter had either missed our agreed upon call, or they had not responded to my available times after maybe a week of not hearing from them. I got to the second round with the Hiring Manager and got rejected.

The process started with a phone interview with the recruiter proceeded by a call with the hiring manager. After that, I was given an assignment and had about 4 days to work on it. The day I submitted my assignment the email bounced back. I reached out to the recruiter via LinkedIn to ask and she said she had been taken off the Lyft account (Lyft was using a recruiting firm called Randstad). The recruiter put me in touch with the new responsible for the role who then passed me on to a third recruiter who managed the process until the end.
From this point on, the recruiter was very unresponsive. She told me at least three times that they would schedule the interview in the following week and asked for my availability and never followed up. I had to follow up every single time. When my interview was scheduled, it was 2 months after the date I delivered my marketing plan (the assignment).
The interview went really well and I enjoyed meeting the team. Young team, the other MA and Senior MA didn’t have a lot of questions but seemed happy with my marketing plan and so did the hiring manager.
After the interview, I followed up with the recruiter regarding the salary. We discussed my salary expectations and she mentioned that I was the front runner candidate. I was feeling confident but unsure since the process had been confusing and unresponsive. I followed up with the recruiter once a week to ask if the team had made a decision and she mentioned that they hadn’t, told me they were interviewing lots of candidates (the hiring manager gave a different information, told me they only had one more candidate to interview after me) and she said would be in touch.
About a month after my interview I got a survey from a third party asking for feedback on my interview. It was clear that they had made a decision but I still followed up with the recruiter and she confirmed they had moved on with a different candidate.
This was a frustrating experience and I’m left wondering if the disorganization and lack of transparency is on the recruiting firm or if this is how Lyft operates. It was a shame, as I had a good impression of the company before and was excited to participate in this process.
Please remember that you are looking for talent but candidates are also choosing the company. It goes both ways. Please make sure to treat candidates with respect and professionalism.

It was pretty straight forward, email from recruiter then you schedule the call. She explained the hiring process. 30 min phone interview, assignment of planning 3 different events with marketing event plan, onsite visit, and the offer if you are lucky.
