This is the most horrendous interview I have ever been to. The interview itself was very straightforward where I show a copy of my past work portfolio I have done over Zoom, which I have mask out some important information due to confidentiality. There were no other further questions and we discuss more about what projects is the company embarking on. The interviewer herself did not proceed with any technical assessment on statistics, coding, data structures, algorithm etc. so the final words from her was that I am very likely to go into the second round and wait for further notice. However I did feel something was off as her body language tells me otherwise( eyes shifting here and there etc).
So a couple of weeks have passed and I ring up the HR to ask for the details of the next round, only to get a response that I wasn’t selected because the hirer rated my skill and knowledge to be average.
I was surprised at the response since during the interview the hirer didn’t assess me on my technical know hows unlike other data science interviews I have been to. So was it a fair assessment?
And the hirer herself is from India. At a point where tensions are high between the Singaporean workforce and the CECA deal made with India which many Singaporeans themselves think they are being marginalized, such incident will fuel the suspicions to be even more true.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Nothing much really. More about how I felt about my past projects I have done with other companies.
Three interview rounds, The first round is with HR and the remaining two rounds is technical interview. Make sure you prepare basic statistics, ML interview questions. The interviewer was very helpful.

I have applied for this position online. I got a message from HR on the same day.
She described an interview process:
- CV Review - you CV will be reviewed by colleague on same position
- Technical interview - 60mins on English with Senior colleague on same position
And she asked me the questions :
- What is your motivation to change your current job?
- Do you have a Bulgarian work permit?
- What is you notice period?
- What are you salary expectations?
I have a Bulgarian work permit, but she spent more than a week to understand or check this fact. She asked me for a scan of my ID card.
Finally, I had a technical interview. I talked about my experience for about 15 minutes, a manager asked questions for about 7 minutes and in the end, the manager showed and read the slides about the company for about 20 minutes.
The projects of the company were mismatched with my CV. The company has only Computer Vision projects. Unfortunately, I wasted time for this company. The HR and the manager couldn't see my CV and understand, whether it was good or not for them.
