One month ago or maybe more I applied for the HR Business Partner role. I was called by a lady who told me my CV was very interesting and it was selected by her manager and this was the reason she was calling me and she wanted me to come to an interview. I confirmed my availability asking her "when can I come?". She said to me that she needed to confirm with her manager and she will call me back right away. Before we finalized the conversation, she was asking me about my salary expectations and I told her my current salary and my openness to negotiation. As you can imagine, after that call, I have never received another call from the respective lady. It was not a surprise considering the negative feedback I have read about the HR employees and the way they communicate with the candidates during the recruitment process. It is strange to see this behavior coming from an HR department as the way they treat others is their passport to the outside people and to what they promote about the company values and environment.
