Review: Interview Experience – Team Lead Position.
I recently applied for a Team Lead position and went through a recruiter phone screening followed by an in-person interview with the store manager.
The recruiter screening was structured and covered my background in luxury management in detail. However, the in-person interview felt less engaging and more informal in comparison. At times, it was difficult to gauge interest in my responses or the role itself, which made it challenging to fully assess mutual fit.
After about a week, I received a standard rejection noting that the company was moving forward with candidates of a different calibre. While I understand not every application will result in an offer, the feedback provided was not specific enough to help me understand where my candidacy fell short.
Overall, I would encourage a more consistent and structured interview process across stages, with clearer evaluation criteria and more detailed feedback for candidates.

The interview process was fairly smooth and average. I met with the store manager. I was asked a series of questions around my past experience in management. I was also asked about my coaching style I take with team members.
