I was contacted by a recruiter for a position as a SE. During that initial call we spoke about my experiences in interests. Then I was given a brief overview of the position. It was vague, so I assumed it was for a general role. The recruiter said the next steps would be her speaking with the hiring to see if we should proceed. I was contacted a few days later with an in person 1 on 1 interview request. I arrived at the facility and was meet by 4 interviewers. I spoke about my experience at my current position for a bit then they started the questions. Every single question was about low level microprocessors and hardware design, which I had very little experience in. I was upset that I had wasted my time traveling and taking time off for a position I didn't not want nor was I a good fit for.
