      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un établissement d'enseignement supérieur ou universitaire. Le processus a pris 1 jour. J'ai passé un entretien chez Jacobs (Mumbai) en sept. 2015

      Entretien

Jacobs Engineering, Mumbai They conducted 3 rounds: Round 1: Aptitude Test 1 hour of General Knowledge (30 questions), very easy to solve questions. You can google for simple GK questions just to feel a little more confident. 1 hour of technical questions (30 questions), easy but conceptual. I would recommend to brush up on subjects like Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Mechanical Vibrations, etc. The paper was a mix of Problems and straightforward theoretical questions Round 2: Group Discussion They segregated us in a group of 10 and gave us 4 topics and asked us to vote for a topic. the topic that got the majority of votes was taken as the topic of discussion (whatsapp is killing minds in my case) Make sure that you speak enough and sensibly to get past this round Round 3: Interview MOST IMP: BRUSH UP SUBJECTS LIKE MACHINE DESIGN, MECHANICS, THERMODYNAMICS, MECHANICAL VIBRATIONS, FLUID MECHANICS, ETC. Also, make sure that you speak about what you know the most. If you're going in the right direction, the Interviewer will encourage you to speak up. They just want to see how well versed you are with your concepts. Unfortunately, I got nervous and could not put forward my skills correctly (I got eliminated in this round). Just stay calm and explain the technical things in a lucid manner and you should easily get the job. Jacobs is a great place to work as I have many friends working there. They also offer free transportation and the pay scale is pretty typical for a fresher (3.33LPA INR for a Graduate Engineer Trainee and 15,500 INR for a Graduate Apprentice Trainee (GAT) THEY GAVE A LOT OF PREFERENCE TO FEMALE CANDIDATES. IN FACT, THERE WAS NO CRITERIA FOR A FEMALE CANDIDATE TO APPLY UNLIKE FOR THE MALE CANDIDATES. SO, IF YOU'RE A FEMALE, THEN, YOU HAVE HIGHER CHANCES OF GETTING A JOB THAN A MALE CANDIDATE WITH SIMILAR SKILLS. I hope this helps! Good luck!
