I interviewed for an onboarding role at J.P. Morgan, and the process was very confusing. The hiring manager only asked me to briefly introduce myself and never asked a single job-related question. There was no discussion of my experience with fund structures, accounting knowledge, or any of my relevant onboarding background, even though this is a niche area where I have direct experience.
Instead, the manager kept repeating that the role was “just manual uploading work,” which felt surprising for a J.P. Morgan position. A few days later, I received a rejection notice with no feedback.
Since I was never asked about my skills or experience, it was unclear how my candidacy was evaluated at all. The process felt unprofessional and left me with no insight into what they were actually looking for in a candidate.
