There are benefits -- you choose the benefits you want, company will cover some, you pay out of pocket for the rest. I've seen better benefits with many other companies, such as matching pension, stock purchases, etc. This company will not equally match.

You can pick and choose coverage percentage 60-90% but you can only do it once a year or one every two years :-(
