After submitting my application online (though some job-hunting site, I can't remember which one), I did a short 30min interview with a HR recruiter over the phone. They asked primarily logistical questions, such as the salary I would be interested in and when I would be able to start. They also asked some behavioral questions and I provided examples of teamwork, leadership, and attention to detail. The next interview I had was at the office itself, with the team I would end up working with (2 people). The interview was an hour long, and overall it was rather pleasant, if you can use that as a way to describe an interview. I know for some other employers I've interviewed for they will try to throw you off-guard, or throw something at you, etc. But I found my interview with the Ipsos team was pretty generic, ie. "Provide an example of a time when you demonstrated X". After working for Ipsos I have discovered that they highly prioritize your "fit" in the company, so don't be afraid to make jokes, and be relaxed. People in my office are all quite good friends and hang-out with each other after work often, so you need to show that you would "fit in" and be someone they would like to see and work with everyday in addition to proving your abilities.

It started with a 30 min zoom call with the recruiter to explain my qualifications and learn more about the role. Then I had a 1 hour long interview with 2 seniors, this was split into 2 parts, 30 min behavioural and 30 min exercises.

Pretty simple interview process. 1 with HR, another with a member of the hiring team, case study + interview. Overall pretty straight forward and communicative, it wasn’t drawn out or anything.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself, tell us about your previous research experience
Overall, the interview process was a great experience and very responsive. Communication was clear and timely at every stage. I was given a case study and asked to present my analysis, which allowed me to demonstrate both technical and presentation skills. The team was professional, supportive, and asked thoughtful questions, making the entire process engaging and insightful.
