« You get paid vacation and paid sick days (a few). Only problem is you can't carry over more than 5 days unused vacation from the previous year. And the higher you go in the company, the more difficult it becomes to take large chunks of time off. So the vacation time can go to waste. »
« I've heard some employees that are on long term, expensive medications are cut off of coverage after a certain amount has been used. If you have family coverage you might be able to use sick days if you need to take time off for family medical reasons. If you don't, then you have to use your vacation days. You're only covered for massage therapy if there is a Doctors recommendation and proof it's medically necessary. »
Fairly good benefits package: dental, medical, and life/AD&D insurance at either individual or family level coverage. Coverage % varies by service. Medical includes many auxiliary services like physio, massage therapy, psychologist, and so on. Package also includes group RRSP contribution (company contributes 20%) through RBC.
Good Health care benefit. Good job on this Ipsos Canada
Benefits are great in terms of physio/ massage/ etc
Decent health insurance, which now includes some mental health therapy coverage. 3 weeks of vacation for full time employees, which increases to 4 weeks after working for 5 years and then to 5 weeks after working there for 10 years. Coverage for physio/massage therapy/acupuncture/naturopath appts all come from same $1500 bucket/calendar year, so if you have an injury or ailment that requires multiple appts, the coverage runs out quite quickly.
Lump sum of money to apply to health care benefits
Best 4% RRSP Match
medical and dental at par with other employers
The health insurance is pretty good and all encompassing (including dental which is rare). I personally never had any issues with it.
average, don't expect it to be great
A great benefits package overall with the option for increasing coverage in specific areas.
