Entretien
30 minute interview with a recruiter. My previous position focused a lot on search quality and I’m in school for marketing and analytics so I thought this position was perfect. However the recruiter didn’t seem to care about hearing about my previous paid role and instead asked more about a volunteer position that wasn’t very related. Even interrupted me when I was talking about how my previous paid position was related to search quality. She really didn’t ask questions that played to my strengths and relative experience. I wasn’t surprised but was pretty disappointed when I received a rejection email the next day from her that was pretty cruelly (though I’m sure unintentionally) titled, “Phone Interview With Indeed.” I really wish I had interviewed with someone who knew more about the details of the position or looked more closely at my resume for relevant experience as opposed to just looking at my more recent experience. I truly think this was an excellent position for me.
