Several rounds of interviews with panels of team members. A round with HR. They openly tell you they have 2 internal candidates, which is fair. You then know you have zero chance and this is just for practice.

Star methode. They like to ask about difficult times when things went wrong or when work pressure was high. What you did in that situation etc.
