Applied online through IKEA's website. Recived an email for a short interview which was 10 minutes long, had some general questions Why IKEA? What do you know about the company? Tell me something about yourself? ... Was called in for an assessment center. 3 hours long 3 group activities and a personal interview. This was the structure of mine. Every task been viewed and listened by IKEA manager's and they make notes and also ask question. 1st task Take a picture with you about a room and talk about it. With this task your Passion for home furnishing is measured. 2nd task choose a product and with your group name it and find out the functions what else can it be used for and how/where would you sell it? How would you merchandise? Than your group holds a presentation for the 2 managers who were listening your group. Your passion for products are measured. 3rd was about 10 statements aboit IKEA and you with your team should choose the 5 most important and present to the managers. With this they measure Passion for customers. During this the your team and the managers are rotating. Everyone is really super friendly and helpful. Dress smart, but feel comfortable. They are not wearing suites and ties. I had a personal interview after this part. It was around 3 hours long. Your answers are measured in % for every part. You have to reach 75% altogether to be successful. This was an interview for multiplied opportunities. Make sure to show passion, don't be shy. Talk but let the others talk in your team too. I am sure they check teamwork as well. Do some preparation, specially answers but you don't have to learn the companie's full history.
