      Employé (anonyme)
      Saint Louis, MO
      Offre acceptée
      Expérience positive
      Entretien facile

      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris plus d'une semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez IKEA (Saint Louis, MO) en juill. 2015

      Entretien

Applied online and was contacted for a phone interview about a week and half later. After about a 20 minute phone interview of basic questions on prior experience I was asked to come in for another interview with team leads. That interview was also about 20 minutes with further questioning about my experience, why I wanted to work at IKEA...etc. Immediately I had a second interview with the manager. Told me I would hear from them in about a week about their decision. Called me the next day and asked me to come in again, upon arrival I was offered a job. Took drug test and submitted paperwork for a background check.

      Entretien

After I applied online with IKEA, I received an email inviting me to a meet-and-greet. When I arrived for the meet-and-greet, I was immediately welcomed by a smile-friendly co-worker, was offered some snacks (the whole table was filled with food), asked what position I applied for, and was taken behind the curtain for the interview by the hiring manager. It was a very relaxed interview that was done in the back of their warehouse where all their boxed furniture is located, it lasted only 5 minutes and afterwards, was given a 2nd interview date the following week. For the 2nd interview, I was taken to a small office (about as big as an apartments bathroom) which was setup like someone's living room: there were 4 very comfortable arm-less chairs that I was able to lean back on and a coffee table. Again, it was a very relaxing environment and this time I was interviewed by an assistant manager. I was asked a few questions then was told to be patient because sometimes it can take up to 3 weeks to hear whether I made it to the 2nd part of the hiring process (background check) or if they decided to go with another applicant. However, the next day I was contacted by the outside company they use to complete the background check and less than a week later was offered a position in their Home Delivery department. Not only did the managers go out of their way to not only make you feel very comfortable they also explained the whole process so you wouldn't feel like I was being left in the dark. This was, by far, the best interview processes I've ever been through and even if I wasn't offered a p/t position with them, it was an enjoyable experience.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Why did I choose IKEA? Why did I choose that for that particular position? Tell me about yourself (asked by both interviewers)? If I had a choice, which department would I like to work in?
