Very open communication between every step of the process. They are making sure that you feel comfortable with the role and so forth. It's good to know that it's a very thorough process including several steps: application, video interview, aptitude tests, phone interview, local Director/HR interview, assessment day (very long 12 hours incredibly tough). The one's passing the assessment day have a final interview with the Regional President and they usually get the job.
Pros: open communication throughout the process. Preparation material beforehand. Feedback afterwards. Company culture.
Cons: Even though they are open with that they expect you to continue to work abroad after the program, they weren't completely honest with that they expect it to be 7-8 years at least. After going through the process I can tell that rarely anyone of the managers participating in the application process (nearly 20) were working in their home market. Important to know!
