J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Haemonetics

When did ghosting become acceptable in professional settings? HR conducts a screening, asks you to complete a questionnaire and/or prepare answers based on the hiring managers desired candidate qualifications but can’t take two minutes to send an update regarding whether or not you’re still being considered for a role? Even a canned variation of “Thanks but we’ve decided to pursue other applicants” is better than nothing. Sad to see basic courtesies being thrown out the window yet tolerated by organizational leadership.

I went through multiple stages of the interview including screening questions, the recruiter, the hiring manager, and additional team members, including the director. After that, I believe there would’ve been one more step.
I made it to the point of meeting with the director. I’m assuming at some point they decided I wasn’t the right candidate since she started off the meeting saying she and her colleague were debating who would get “the short end of the stick” because of having to choose a morning interview with me. The tone felt condescending throughout.
In hindsight I’m glad I didn’t get the role because that’s the type of culture they must have.
