Interview Felt Like a One-Sided Technical Grilling I interviewed for a Senior Electrical Engineer position and was eager to learn more about the company culture, team dynamics, and the exciting projects they were working on. Unfortunately, the interview was entirely focused on technical knowledge, specifically in data centre projects, an area where I had limited experience. While I understand the need to assess technical capabilities, the interview felt more like an interrogation rather than a balanced discussion. There was no mention of salary, company benefits, or workplace culture, which made it difficult to gauge whether the company would be a good fit. For future candidates, I’d recommend being prepared for an intense technical assessment, especially in data centres, and not expecting much discussion about the company itself. Would have appreciated a more well-rounded conversation.
