Interview Process: Application Submission: Like any other optimistic candidate, I submitted my application and waited for a call that took forever. First Round: A nice little warm-up with a debounce function, basic array questions, and a React question to fetch data. Just your everyday brain teaser, right? But hey, at least this round happened without me having to call and remind them of my existence. Second Round: Design an input field system, they said. Basic introductions, they said. I guess this was the calm before the storm. Third Round: The Hiring Manager decided to grace me with some basic STAR-based questions. Easy-peasy, except for the part where I had to call and check if I was still in the running. The Dreaded Follow-Ups: And then, the real game began. I waited 12 days, yes, 12 glorious days, without a peep from them. Naturally, I had to play detective and call them for updates. Every. Single. Time. Fourth Round: Surprise! The Hiring Manager remembered they had more questions. This time, they asked what I would do if a bug needed fixing while I was on leave. Brilliant! Of course, I’d love to handle work issues on my day off. Who needs personal time, anyway? Work Schedule: They claim it’s a 5-day workweek. I can only imagine what surprises the actual workdays hold. Overall: The whole process took a month, mostly spent chasing after them.
