      Entretien pour Deal Qualifier

Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Groupon (Chicago, IL) en mars 2012

      Entretien

I don't really feel like writing a review, but had to let people know about this, so I'll keep it short: I took a test to apply for this position. JUST to apply. Someone contacted me about a week later. We set up a phone interview for the following week. Said phone interview went well. I flew (yes, flew!) out to Chicago for an in person interview...that's how far away I am. I met with four people altogether and the questions were grueling. Plus, I had to take ANOTHER test. After two hours, I was told that I would hear back immediately following the interview. I sent thank yous to everyone. No response. However, that can be typical, so I let it go. After 5 days had passed, however, I sent a follow up email to the recruiter. No response. It's been 4 days since my follow up email. Nothing. Not a peep. Silence. I'm sorry, but I don't care if you thought I was the most awful human being on earth and you want to spit in my eye. If I fly all the way out to meet with you and have a grueling 2 hour interview, the very least you can do is answer my emails and have the balls to tell me that you hate me. Even if they magically offered me the position after all of this time, I would turn it down because of the way they've treated me. I should've heeded the warnings on this site. I'm telling you, do NOT interview with them.

      Question 1

What would you do if a sales manager wanted a deal to go through and the merchant was a circus where people have gotten injured?

They start you off by having you take an exam to test your eye for detail. Take your time, the initial test is not timed. Make sure you triple check everything. If you pass the initial exam, they bring you in for a face to face interview. There were a lot of basic question typical of any interview. Two things that they did not ask, which I am glad because they suck as interview questions were "Where do you see yourself in five years?" and "Why should we choose you out of all of the candidates?" This position really emphasized eye for detail so get ready to tell them that and then give them work experience or life experience to back it up. Having some market research background may help a bit too. Also, they will about your ability to deal with angry/frustrated sales reps so be prepared to tell them your experience dealing with unreasonable people. After the face to face, you have one more proofreading online test that you take. This one is timed, but again, just relax and take your time and you will be fine.

      Question 1

Given that it is Groupon, I expected an odd or quirky question but they really did not throw any curveball's at me.
