During my Forever 21 interview, one of the more interesting questions they asked was about my design style and process. They were eager to understand how I approach fashion design, how I stay inspired, and how I go about turning creative ideas into actual designs. I explained that my design style tends to be a blend of modern, versatile pieces with a touch of street style—something that can appeal to a wide range of customers while still feeling fresh and relevant. I also shared my process, highlighting how I start with research and mood boards to gather inspiration, then move into sketching and fabric selection before refining my designs through feedback and iterations. They seemed particularly interested in how I adapt my style to fit the brand’s youthful, trend-forward identity while ensuring that the designs remain wearable and accessible. Overall, it was a great opportunity to showcase my creative process and passion for design in a way that aligned with Forever 21’s aesthetic.
