I found the opening on career builder. Had initial phone interview which were some BBI questions. They then sent me an assessment, which wasn't too bad, just make sure you follow the directions. Waited probably a week or so then get a call for an in person interview. In the interview there were four different supervisors asking me all different BBI questions. They were a little bit tougher then the ones on the phone interview. Just make sure to have specific experiences in mind. They said they would give me a call in a week. Get a call on Wednesday to do a job shadow for Friday and then go into the office to meet with the manager of the branch. Meet up with claims adjuster to do the job shadow for half a day. After, head back to the Farmers office, and meet with the manager. This was less formal, he did get to know you questions and such. They said they would call back with and offer or not next week. Right now currently waiting on their call back.

It was fairly straight forward. I applied for the position as it was hybrid/remote when it was advertised. I did see lots of negative reviews about company culture and turnover/burnout. The process is very organized with a strict schedule on when they wanted to onboard which I did think was good. Going into the interview I knew that unless my individual needs were met I was not going to accept the job. This is personal to me but culture has to be a fit before pay. I was outside of the posted commuting distance and I stated that to the recruiter(internal to Farmers) who went on to say that he would not work for them if he wasn't remote. They prioritized in office ability vs. candidate quality. Felt like it was a sink or swim company. I happily rejected to go on with the screening interview.

Applied online with an employee referral and received an email the next day requesting times to set up a phone interview. Phone call was with a member of HR for the western division. Rep was friendly and asked basic behavioral questions. Also explained the job in detail as well as training at the company and a possible career trajectory. Next step would be an in office panel interview.
