Phone interview followed up by an on-site interview by both HR and hiring managers. HR was more focused on behavioral questions on the targeted competencies - business acumen, strategic thinking, results driven, etc. Hiring managers focused more on the prior experience in the related field - project management, engineering, etc. Typically will inform the results in a couple weeks time.

Internal employees always get an interview by the hiring manager. Standard interview, if on site, then be prepared to talk to 4-5 interviewers on the same day. People are friendly, and looking for easy going personality
