Initial interview with hiring manager covering basic past work experience. Follow up case study interview with an Analyst in the company. One of the worst interview experiences I have ever had. I have never written an interview review before, but I felt that my experience should serve as a warning to those considering applying to roles at DraftKings. Case study involved expected value of baseball tickets. The interviewer did not have a solid understanding of the concept of the case study and as a result clarification was required for most of the questions. When pressed about the correct application expected value, the interviewer would repeatedly change the conditions of each question adding further confusion. I was not selected to move forward with the only reason given that I asked a lot of questions during the interview and required clarification due to the incorrect application of expected value by the company.

SQL, coding, syntax, they want to see your thinking process. They ask you how you would code certain situations and retrieve info from a database. Don't try to use AI because they will know

Overall, the recruiter was very responsive and stayed on top of everything throughout the process. Communication was quick, clear, and organized. The entire interview experience felt smooth and well-coordinated, so I really can’t complain — it was a solid process from start to finish.
