J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Discover en févr. 2025
Entretien
Recruiter call followed by 4 rounds of just managers, who all seemed to be stuck in old school corporate ways. Not sure why there needs to be 4 rounds a same interviews to determine if applicant is good.
Flawed interview process and in no point during the interview process I felt there were any skill based questions. Java trivia at the end (most likely googled it herself 10 mins before) manager who didn’t know what actually is a test scenario and test case/use case. Seems like there’s also no actual culture of good sprints as they seemed ignorant of grooming planning sizing. No wonder it’s a circus show of 20 teams
Anyway any company wasting 4-5 hours of your time from get go is not worth giving time to they are most likely doing to meet quota of interviews before they go ahead and choose whoever they actually wanted on team from similar background/ethnicity

**Unclear Hiring Process, Possible Misuse of Discover’s Name**
I was contacted(through adapt-jobs consultancy) for a remote job opportunity supposedly from Discover (USA). The first step was an introductory call with Deepa Sood, where I was indirectly told that I would need to complete a Six Sigma certification to be eligible for the final technical round. When I asked about the certification source, I was directed to another HR contact from Adapt Jobs, who insisted on completing it from a particular website IICEPT (with charges ranging from ₹4,000–₹7,000).
The final technical interview was rescheduled three times. On two occasions, the panel didn’t join the call and no prior intimation was given. When the interview finally happened (final tech round taken by Mr. Utkarsh), the questions were very basic, which I answered smoothly. However, I never received any follow-up after that.
This whole process made me doubt whether this was a legitimate hiring process by Discover or if someone is misusing the company’s name. I strongly urge the company to look into whether third parties are conducting fraudulent activities under its brand.
Advice to Management:
Please ensure your hiring partners are genuine and transparent. Miscommunication and unnecessary certification requirements create mistrust and damage the company’s reputation.
