First I want to thank everyone who has posted here regarding this job as the information was spot on!! I am a bit surprised that there weren't more posts on the LOD interview questions or expectations tho. I applied online at the company website on 1/10/15. After filling out the profile, attaching CV etc. I was directed to take an online assessment. I recieved my next communication from Delta on 1/14/15 to do an online interview which needed to be completed within 3 business days. I did my interview on 1/15/15. The interview was just as described in previous posts that you can find here and was what I expected. You are able to do practice questions (and review them) as many times as you want to adjust the mic, camera etc. Once the actual interview is under way you cannot rerecord. The questions are posed to you 1st in a video then in words and you are given 1 min to think of an answer then 2 min to record answer. You can take a break in-between if you need one to get something to drink or pull yourself together if you are nervous. You need to answer the questions in the STAR format. There are 5 questions: 1. Please describe a situation when you demonstrated initiative and took action without waiting for direction. What was the situation? What actions did you take and what were the results? 2. Tell us about a time when you had to work with someone with a difficult personality. What made this person difficult and how did you handle it? What were the results? 3. Give us an example of a choice you made to go above and beyond what was needed to satisfy a customer. What was the situation? What actions did you take and what were the results? 4. Tell us about a time when you worked on a team with someone who did not do his or her share of the work. What was the situation? What actions did you take and what were the results? 5. Tell us about a time when you witnessed a coworker or colleague breaking the rules or acting in a dishonest or unprofessional manner. What was the situation? What actions did you take and what were the results? Since I applied for a bilingual position, I received my next email from Delta on 1/20/15 directing me to take another video interview within 3 days in my target language. I did the interview on 1/21/15. It was with the same company in the same format with 5 questions. This time there was only 15 sec to think and 30 to answer. The questions were: (sorry I only remember 4) 1. Read an announcement in Spanish. 2. If you were traveling on your own time and there was a baby crying in the seat behind you, what would you do? 3. Give us an example of a choice you made to go above and beyond what was needed to satisfy a customer. 4. Read an announcement in English and translate to Spanish: We will be arriving in Atlantas Hartfield Airport at the scheduled time of 8:40pm. Temperature in Atlanta 65 Degrees. This was a bit nerve racking due to the amount of time you had to answer.. or at least it was for me as there was little to no information on what to expect and Spanish is not my first language. I received my next email from Delta on 1/22/15 in the pm telling me congrats and the next step which was an interviewer would be calling me in the next 7-10 days 9-9 EST with a few more questions and to have my passport details ready. I received a call on 1/23/15 in the am by an amazingly friendly woman!!! The call came from an unknown number. She asked me if I had watched the video on the web site about the position. I had. She asked me if I had traveled on Delta (I have) and what I thought of the crews, gate agents, etc. They are amazing!! I say this not because it was clearly the right answer... but because it is true. Delta is hands down the friendliest, most approachable airline staff that exists!!! She asked me if I was aware that a few years ago the f/a uniforms were redesigned, told me the designer name and went over the uniform standards with me... notating that red is the accent color of inflight. She asked if I had any issues adhering to the uniform standard. No. She went over the expectations of behavior of a f/a while on layovers, in uniform etc. Asked if I had issues with this... No. She asked if I had tattoos or piercings visible in business attire. No. She asked if I could work nights, weekends, long hours etc, Yes. She asked for my passport info and then congratulated me on being invited to Atlanta for a F2F. She asked for my closest airport. This interview was really more of a conversation and we laughed and she made me feel totally at ease. At the end of the conversation she let me know that I would be receiving an email with further info in the next week. The next email from Delta came 3 hours later congratulating me that I have been invited for a F2F in Atlanta. There were 5 dates and I needed to respond within 24 hours with my preferred interview dates. Overall, so far this has been a very positive experience.

I'm an intermediate Spanish speaker and stated that on my application so I was surprised they gave me a chance to do a video interview. During the video interview they asked me 4 questions in English and 5 in Spanish. Two of the Spanish questions they asked me to read in Spanish and translate to Spanish. However I was very nervous and kept stumbling on my words so I wasn't surprised when my status went to archive and two days later received a TBNT. All the questions are asked in a video you cannot play again however they add subtitles and show the question in text for the English version and not for the Spanish version so you only get one shot to hear and understand the Spanish questions. You can rerecord as many times as you want. Though I got rejected I'm going to use this time to advance my Spanish and apply again next year and hopefully I won't be so nervous :).
