I first had a phone interview that asked easy questions like what do you think makes good team work? I passed that and received a face-to-face interview. This interview was fine, quite easy questions and I was made to feel comfortable. I passed the interview but was then told I'd need a trial shift. I went for the trial shift but wasn't observed the entire time and when I saw the supervisor for about 2 minutes part way through, she just asked about my previous experience which is something they should have got from the interview. I also found out at the end that they only had 1 position available and there were 3 people after it which made me more annoyed that I had been working without any observation from anyone. It was also unpaid so just felt like cheap labour to me. I found it all very strange and unsurprisingly didn't get the job. However, if that's how they act in a trial shift, what would it be like to actually work there?
