I was initially contacted by a recruiter who managed the entire hiring process. The first step of the interview was a video call with the director of the team, which went really well. I was contacted soon after about coming in for an in-person interview, where I met with several members of the team I'd be working with. During the interview, I received a lot of positive feedback and there was a lot of language used that indicated I had a great chance of being selected. They said they intended to hire quickly so I should be contacted soon about if I was selected. I followed up with the recruiter, who gave me positive feedback about the in-person interview and asked me to have another video call with other team members I didn't have the chance to meet with before. The call went very well and I was told by the team that I'd hear back from them very soon about moving forward. After not hearing back immediately, I reached out to the recruiter, who said they'd get back to me as soon as they knew about next steps. I figured they were finishing up the final interviews and/or were preparing an offer at this point. I followed up again twice, and never heard back from them. I am incredibly disappointed at the lack of professionalism and never thought this would happen based on how well the interview process went. I also really enjoyed meeting with the team and was excited at the prospect of working with them. Now that I've read other reviews about how they ghost candidates unexpectedly, I'm not that surprised it happened. I really hope Credit Karma steps it up and encourages their recruiters to not engage in this kind of unprofessional behavior.

I applied for a role and wasn't selected to move forward, no hard feelings there. But then a recruiter contacted me for a contract role... and it was a complete mess. She was incredibly rude, the hiring manager was inept, and I withdrew from the process.
It's a shame because I've used and loved their product for years but now I'm not sure they should be trusted with interviewing people, let alone things like financial information.
