J'ai postulé via un établissement d'enseignement supérieur ou universitaire. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Corning en déc. 2011
Entretien
The interview consisted of a one on one first round interview, where they asked a lot of basic questions like "what do you want to do" "why are you interested in corning"
Second round is all day at their facilities. You make a presentation on any technical project that you have done, then they take you around on a tour, you interview with about 5 to 10 people one on one (from HR to everyone who you might need to work with in the future).
The interviews are very relaxed, they don't ask very many technical questions (though I think they want you to ask a lot of insightful questions)
I felt very positive about Corning's friendly, family oriented feel. They reassured me that I would hear back soon regardless of the decision, but they haven't gotten back to me at all since then.

I applied at the company's application site. A recruiter sent an email to ask for my convenient time for a phone screen interview. Even though I gave a certain time, the recruiter did not call for a phone screen interview.

One in-person interview at a professional conference (where I learned about Corning for the first time), two panel-style virtual interviews (three people each); Interviewers seemed to really like each other and get along well. Corning appears to have a great community of people

It was a long 3 step process. Talked to 2 people who worked in the plant and then the last round was with the hiring manager. Overall the questions were behavioral but the last round had some technical questions.
