There was little explanation of the role, and she deferred most questions to the hiring manager if I proceeded. I then had a great, promising Zoom interview with the hiring manager a few days later. Typical interview questions. Sent a thank you and received a response, which is always nice. Then was completely ghosted. Followed up with HR about a status update and received no response. I understand people are busy, but it's completely unnecessary in today's day and age when messages can be automated to fail to provide a final response noting the role was filled.
