Position is typically hired from within. Management will continuously look at their current staff for bench potential. You must be doing the job before you are given the job. You must act as leader among your teammates.Management is really looking for their next level management early. They want you to be their clear choice before the position is available. One should actively talk with management about future opportunities before these opportunities become available.
When position does become available you will typically interview with the store manager followed by the district manager and finally phone interview with the regional manager, (where applicable). After these processes you are offered a position from your store manager.

The interview process was pretty standard for a management position. Started the first interview with the store manager then a time was setup with the district manager which was almost the same interview. Focus on sales driving, kpi understanding and of course top notch customer service.

First interview was a long phone call about your history and the position. They really get to know you on a personal level. They are very focused on knowing business goals.
They hate self expression (I had a nose ring and pink nails.) Immediately told “well that’s gotta go”. A day later got a marketing email from Coach about being free to be you. I got an offer for the position but declined.
